First Visit

group of hands holding a welcome signWhat to Expect at Your First Orthodontic Appointment

During your first visit, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.

  • Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
  • What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
  • Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?

After we have evaluated your records, we will conduct a treatment consultation to explain all aspects of your orthodontic treatment in detail. We will provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem, a written summary of the findings and a detailed plan that outlines your treatment, goals and estimated fees. We encourage questions from both the patient and parents, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions.

What to Expect at Your First Endodontic Appointment

Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. Depending on your dental condition, we may begin treatment the same day. Please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your initial consultation:

  • Any panoramic X-ray taken within the past six months.
  • A list of medications you are currently taking.
  • If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card. This will enable us to give you an estimate of your costs.

At this appointment, we can take any additional X-rays that are needed. We welcome any questions you may have, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions. All patients under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at this visit.
